All the babies...patiently awaiting for Julia Blank to arrive! From left to right here is Colt (2 1/2 mo's), Ava (3 1/2 mo's), Canon (4 1/2) mo's and Luke (7 mo's). We were getting ready for Tuan's baby shower in honor of Julie Blank...it was rather hectic but so much fun!!
Colt's girlfriend Ava:)...well the verdict is still out...she's got so many boys to choose from, but she looks pretty interested to me!

She's a maniac...maniac that's foe show-ow!!
She's actually amazing...how DOES she do it? I'm talking about Nana (Mrs. Sharon). She cooks, she cleans, she buys us things...okay she hasn't cooked...but I wouldn't put it past her. As I mentioned earlier Nana (grandmother to Colt) is keeping Colt during the day at our house. She arrives around 7:45 most days:) for me to head on to work. Well, I think it was day 2/3 I come home and look in my laundry basket...empty...I look in Josh's laundry basket...empty...I look in Colt's laundry basket...empty. WHAT?? She has washed EVERYTHING in the house...oh, and not only are they clean they are ironed. The average human being that irons (does not include me or Josh) usually irons clothes worn to work/casual clothes...nope not this woman...she goes above and beyond...ironing our workout shorts, tank-tops, t-shirts...underwear???(surely not!). I spent 8 weeks at home and couldn't find the time to wash all our clothes...again, I ask "How DOES she do it"?? And she manages to take care of our little baby...and if any of you have a baby...it's not an easy task.
Also...if she's sees it's missing she's going to buy...dish soap, diapers, Sunday clothes for Colt, bleach, toys...hope Harry Wayne doesn't read this...oops!
If it's broke, she's fixing it...it's probably been 10 months since our fridge in the laundry room hasn't worked after a good storm and about 2+ months since our dishwasher wouldn't finish a cycle...guess what...she jumped on that!! Done...fridge works and dishwasher's parts are on the way...wow!! She washed a pair of my favorite black pants I wear to work...one of the legs' seams had come out...well she took them home to fix...yay! I've just been wearing them like that:) Hehe! She has fixed the kitchen sink hardware that was loose...it's been bothering me since we moved in....she's going to spoil us!
SO, Josh and I would like to say "THANK YOU" Nana...for everything you do!! Because of you, I can actually focus on Colt, rather than worrying about the house (and what is clean/ironed to where the next day). It is absolutely wonderful!! I hope you know that you don't have to do all these things for us, but they ARE greatly appreciated!
Oh AND I have one request NANA....take it easy for a day (or everyday)....sit on the big chair with Colt and enjoy him...and sleep/nap when he naps!!!

2 Month Update
Colt is now 2 months old! He had his 2 month well check-up today at the doctors'. He now weighs a whopping 13 lbs 4 oz and is 24 inches long. Almost doubled his birth weight. He's a growing boy. He is in the 75th percentile for weight and height based on his age and the 50th percentile for weight based on his height. So he's a perfect size:) He's getting so chunky though, I love it! Oh, and apparently he has a little "pea head," his head circumference is 29cm, which is the 25th percentile...haha!
He also had to get 3 shots today...and it was the saddest thing in the world watching him get pricked by a needle 3 times! Oh my, no one can prepare you for how bad you feel when your little baby goes through that:( He screamed his head off...I didn't think he was going to breathe...so sad. I picked him up right after she was done and he cried just a little bit, then was ok. So, he did very well...poor thing:( Nana was there with us and she couldn't stand it!! He was fussy a couple hours after his appt, so I gave him Tylenol for pain.
What he's doing now:
Eating: 4.5-5 oz every 2 1/2 - 3 hours (mostly every 3 hours)
Increase in Cooing/Talking
Increase social smiling (almost laughing)
Sleeping through the night (10:00-6:00)
Wearing 0-3 month clothes (but they are getting pretty tight)
Using size 1 diapers (swaddlers)
Loves to look at faces, the fan, the outside light and pictures on the wall
Will hold onto toys for a few minutes before letting go
Starting to find his hands and sucking on hands/fingers
Loves for people to talk to him
Loves to play on the floor on his play mat and look at the hanging toys
Loves to rock & be held and walk around when sleepy, but fights the sleep in the evenings
Loves to go outside!
Holds his head up very well for a few minutes
Doesn't really like tummy time
Appearance:
His eyelashes started growing, but I'm not sure if they're done yet.
Has a nice round face which is really filling out (the doctor mentioned his nice round face)
A big belly:)
Heat bumps on his face and neck that will go away at 4 months (per the doc)
Starting to get little fat rolls:)
Dark blue eyes
Here's some pics of him at 2 months:
Sometimes Colt has a hard time taking naps during the day, so we tried swaddling him during his naps. Here he is today after a nap...he looks so funny! (I tried to turn the video but was unsuccessful)
Here's another video of time on the floor, apparently Gizzy thought he would join in the fun:)

Back to work
Well, I have gotten through one week of work so far. I knew I didn't want to leave Colt, but I felt guilty because the night before my first day back at work, Colt woke up at 12:30, 3:00 and 5:30 so I was a little frustrated with him...I was actually mad at him. He hasn't been the best sleeper up until a few days ago, but nothing like this night:( I was so tired and felt like I needed a break, even if it meant going back to work.
Josh's mom (Mrs. Sharon) is watching Colt, while I'm at work. I was very excited that we could make these arrangements b/c I didn't have to send him to daycare 1) b/c it's SO expensive, 2) he's less likely to get sick 3) convenience & 4) I can see him during my lunch hour:)
Mrs. Sharon showed up at 7:45 on Tuesday (my first day back) and I gave her the low down on when he ate last. My emotions about leaving him were non-existent b/c the little booger woke me up so much during the night. Well, she started asking me how I was and if I was going to be ok...once I started thinking about it...maybe I wasn't ok. I tried to hold the emotions back, by giving short answers, b/c if I spilled my guts about leaving him, the tears were going to start flowing...I felt it coming. I held myself together while I was at home, but once I got in the car...I let it go. I couldn't stop. I cried all the way to work:( I was so sad, I didn't know what he was going to do that day, when he ate, slept and played. I couldn't talk to him...what if he does something new?? What if he forgets me?? Once I got to work, it was the same...I had to go to the bathroom and cry it out some more. One lady ask me how I was...and there I went again...wrong place at the wrong time! Sorry.
It didn't take that long, but I was eventually ok. I went around the office and said my hello's and I could freely talk about my first day and leaving him. It really wasn't that bad. I guess the best thing about leaving him, is missing him and then getting to see him:)
Mrs. Sharon kept me up to date all day...so nice! She has really done a great job! I thought about it later, but I didn't call her once to check up on him:( Guess I wasn't too worried! I got to see him during lunch and of course I loved all over him!
When I got home that night, we really didn't have a good night. He was very fussy, I was still frustrated. After not seeing him all day, I wanted a happy baby. That's not what I got. I'm sure it was the change in schedule that had him all worked up (hopefully). Mrs. Sharon has to learn his schedule and he's got to learn about her. Lots of changes for a little baby that doesn't understand. I knew he was tired and he cried and cried and cried. I couldn't take it anymore, so I just put him in his crib and let him cry it out. It took a little less than 15 minutes and he was out. I felt bad, but he's got to learn to fall asleep on his own.
The week went uphill from there...we had great nights after that together. Seems like it didn't take Colt long to get adjusted to Mrs. Sharon. Like I posted previously, she convinced me to swaddle him again...so far so good! Wednesday night he slept from 10:15 to 6:15 and Thursday 10:00 - 6:00. Last night (Friday) he slept from 10:00 - 2:30 (but he got unswaddled). I fed him swaddled him again and he was back out at 3:00 and slept till 8:45!! So I'm still very hopeful. I ordered a "Miracle Blanket" that Mrs. Sharon told me about that supposedly is the best swaddle blanket out there. Can't wait to use that!
Mrs. Sharon (let's call her Nana), said that he's been a wonderful baby and is SO good. Music to my ears:) I don't want this to be difficult on her either. They've done many things like go to the mall, play with his cousins Tyler and Fisher, go to Nana's and I'm sure many more things. I'm very thankful that Nana can still carry on with 'some' normal activities instead of just sitting at home. And I can't tell you how many things she's already bought him, we are VERY thankful!! I know he likes getting out too and I want him to be a social baby, so this is good!
All in all it hasn't been that bad!

Sleepy Baby!
I had to share the wonderful news that Colt slept 8 hours last night. From 10:15 to 6:15!! When he was first born we swaddled him, but then stopped for some reason. But by the convincing of Josh's mom (Mrs. Sharon) I tried it again last night. I have this travel swaddler with velcro on it (so it stays put) that I used last night and it worked!! It was SO nice! A week or so ago, for a couple of nights he slept from 10:30 to 5:30, but that ended a little too abruptly and we were back getting up a couple of times during the night. Colt still has the some reflexes of his arms that apparently has continued to wake him up in the middle of the night, so holding those arms down helped last night and hopefully will continue to help...cross your fingers!!
