I mentioned Luke's dedication in an earlier blog, but wanted to post a picture from it. I also wanted to posted the beautiful christening gown...it is gorgeous! I know my sister Elyse and Mom will really appreciate it:)

FFA
Or Future Farmers of America....well, not quite. This past weekend Alex Blank had his 3rd birthday party, which we went to and I dressed Colt up for the part (as much as I could anyway). Will and Tuan went all out for this birthday party...horse saddle, ropping a horse, inflatable slide and jumper, plastic guns, party favors, boot pinata, food, a cookie cake and regular cake, etc. It was amazing...I have a lot to compete with!
Anywho, the Blanks have a John Deer tractor that Colt and Canon played on and it was too cute!! See:

My personal favorite:
Earlier that day (Sunday) we witnessed Luke's dedication at First Baptist Church and he did SO well. He actually clapped at himself and yawned right infront the the preachers face as he was talking...hilarious!

Darn those Carney's!
Went to the Peanut Festival (fair)...loved it...and we came home with one of these....
You know there are a lot of things that I said I would never do...and this is definitely one of them!

6 Month Update
Colt is 6 months old today!! I can't believe how time flies. Colt has been such a joy and blessing to our family, I can't thank God enough for bringing him into our lives. He actually had his 6 month check-up today. He weighs a whopping 19 lbs 7 oz and is 27 1/2 inches long. He is between the 75th and 90th percentile for height and weight based on his age and between the 50th and 75th percentile for weight based on his height. He no longer has a "pea head," his head circumference is in the 50th percentile.
The check-up was good...Josh actually got to come with us today b/c the schools were out for Veterans Day. Colt had to have his heal pricked for the 3rd time for his PKU test. I have a feeling it didn't take again b/c the nurse didn't fill up the entire circle of the test. Hopefully she did and we won't have to get it done again. He had 4 shots today and one oral vaccine. Two of the shots was the H1N1 and regular flu. Our doc talked us into the H1N1 otherwise we weren't planning on getting it...oh well. We also had the doc, Dr. Benak, check his ears...he was going to anyway...b/c I suspected an ear infection with the prolonged runny nose, cough and eye cold...and it was confirmed. Another ear infection, but thankfully we got meds to clear it up.
What he's doing now:
Eating: 6 oz bottle every 3 hours (usually eats all of it). He eats 1/4 cup of oatmeal cereal with fruit before his 2nd bottle of the day (around 9 or 9:30) and on occasions veggies in the early evening (if all goes well). I have to mention that he is still using a size 2 nipple. I've tried to go to a size 3, but it's too fast for him and he gets very frustrated. I guess he's like me and likes to take his time eating...no rushing! Also, with the solids, he doesn't seem to want to open his mouth very wide...sometimes we have to pry his mouth open to get anything in...again...he really likes to take his time eating...I think it's funny:)
Clothes: He still can fit into 6 months clothes depending on the brand, but the 9 month clothes fit so much better!
Diapers: Size 3
Developmental: He is sitting up very well now and rarely tips over. It still makes me nervous when he's on the hard floor, so we keep a good eye on him. He is very quick at grabbing objects...so, going out to eat is a lot more work than it used to be. Oh and he loves to grab my hair or any body's hair...ouch!
Play: Loves to play on the floor, jumperoo, sitting up with his toys. Loves to watch Daisy and Gizzy, he could watch them and laugh at them all day. I never knew a dog's sneeze was so funny. Nana got Canon and Colt a walker and he seems to really enjoy walking/scooting backwards in that. Loves bath time, I just started putting him in the bathtub and he loves to splash around and could stay there forever! He also loves to play peek-a-boo.
Funny things he does: I've noticed that when he "chews" on his thumb he has to have some type of blanket, burp cloth, clothes, anything he can get to have around his thumb to stick in his mouth. He gets mad if he can't find something and he only does this when he's sleepy.
He makes the funniest faces, I could laugh at him all day. He's so happy and very social. He will look at anybody, smile and wait for them to talk to him or notice him.
Here is some pics of him today. I plan on getting more this weekend.
3 bandaids!
The other night when Colt fell asleep with me watching TV.
