Trip to TX - yeehaw!

Josh signed up for a coaches clinic in Katy, TX (where his sister Jenni lives) and was originally going to go by himself.  Then his mom decided to go, then his dad...wait a sec!!  SO, after some (lots of) convincing we decided to go AND take the kids.  Glad we did.

Here are the kids on the way to the Panama City airport.  Colt is playing with Addie's toys and poor little Addie is just watching him in amazement:)

Finally on the plane...Addie's first flight!  I think she is enjoying it.

Addie getting some attention from Nana and Pops.  A man behind us told me how "absolutely gorgeous" Addie was and it looks like I got her straight from the shelf...thanks:)!!

Houston!

Colt's favorite thing to do at Jenni's.  There's Jenni herself (she'll probably be mad at me for putting this picture on here).  I got on the trampoline too....so weird!  Pops got on there also, the things you will do for a toddler.

On the way to the Rockets game!  Uh oh! - both kids knocked out!

Ok, this picture really doesn't go...haha.  This was earlier in the day.

First NBA game...she looks ready!

Colt was interested in the game for a few minutes.

And so was Addie:)

Then the next day we went to the Houston Zoo!  This was Colt at the first sighting on an animal (a monkey).

Addie was interested too...not really.  But she was an angel as usual.

This monkey actually came up to us and wanted to touch/play.  He kissed the glass a couple of times at some of the on-lookers.  It was really neat.

This ostrich actually laid an egg before our very eyes.  When she was in the process, the ostrich was on the ground for quite some time, so Nana said "well get up ostrich!"  And when she did, wahh-la!  Egg!  Then she apologized:)

Haha - this is the first time I've noticed Colt's face...what is he doing??

Friday we visited the Houston Children's Museum.  It was so cute and full of education and learning!  There was a face painting station, Colt refused, so I painted Addie's face:)

Telephone robot...completely made a old telephones.

We had a wonderful time, much more relaxing than I thought it would be with both kids.  Colt and Addie did great on the plane trip home.  We can't wait to go again.  Thanks Jenni for having all of us!!

I just loved these pictures and I'm glad I caught the moment.  Colt and Julia were playing on an iPhone. 

I definitely see a future for these two:)

Addie is 5 Months!

Well, you guessed it, Addie is 5 months old!  I can't help but to think about our other child who is also 5 months older too...so sad.  Anywho, I took Addie to the doctor Friday to get her lungs checked...Bronchiolitis AGAIN...and she weighed 16 lbs 3 oz and is 26" long.  Colt was 3 lbs more than she is at this age...wow!  Love looking back and comparing and I'm so glad I kept up with it.  She has been so stinkin' easy!  I could literally take her anywhere and put her on the floor and she would be happy as a fat kid eating chocolate cake:)

I feel like I go on and on about what's new at the next month's update, but I don't feel like I have a lot of updates this time.

What she's doing now:

Eating 6 oz every 3 hours (about 5 bottles a day)
We haven't started solids yet...tried a couple of times but not ready to fight that battle yet:)
Size 2 diapers
Size 3-6 month clothes (so ready for the spring/summer wear!!)
Two good naps during the day (and maybe a small one right before bedtime)
Sleeping well through the night 7:30 - 6:30
Rolling over both ways - started rolling over in her crib at night to her back:(
Laughing a lot (it's so easy) - she laughs mostly at me and Colt
She doesn't talk too much which makes her that much sweeter
Has discovered another person living in the house - Josh!  She will stare at him like "where did you come from?"
She has found her feet and loves to hold one while she sucks that precious thumb
She's very aggressive at grabbing objects...wonder if she's going to be stingy?? No way!
Trying to sit up with her arm support - definitely doesn't like resting her head in her baby tub
Is putting everything in her mouth
AND gotta mention it...still has the ear hair...haha

Ok, I said there wasn't a lot but once I started thinking about it, maybe there is:)
