Christmas Eve with the Parrish's

Can't believe Christmas is here!  Seems like we've made a tradition to go to Nana and Pops' for Christmas Eve to exchange gifts and have dinner.

This is a random picture of Addie and one of her crazy outfits:)

After we had an awesome dinner made by Nana, we started opening presents.  The kids were just itching to tear into them.  Colt was SO much fun to watch.  EVERYTHING he opened he would gasp and say "this is just what I wanted!!"  Made you feel really good:)

Addie on the other hand...was more interested in all the bags and paper:)

Pure excitement!

Jake and the Never Land Pirate ship!!

This wasn't her present, just a distance marker.

Helper sister open her presents.

THIS is what Fisher got from his Daddy...wow!!

"Colt" straw.

Captian America gear from Jenni, Nils and Ayla:)

Addie loved to be rewrapped by Pops.

Fun times at Nana and Pops', stayed way too late, ate way to much...Colt is knocked out!  Addie...not so much:)  Ready for Santa to come!!

Addie 15 Months

Oh boy! She's on the move and talking more and more.  Some of her favorite words (ok, only words) are "uh-oh, duh (whatever that means, it must mean something because she says it all the time), mama, dada, Tolt (Colt)"...and that's all I can think of right now:)

She's a healthy baby girl, weighing _____ and height of 30".  She's also a little firecracker...as my mom would put it "I'm not worried about her at all around all these boys!"  She will hold her own and she's no whimp.  If she falls or her brother rough houses with her she won't cry and will laugh...That's what we like!  She LOVES to be held although she's a lot more independent that her brother.  She LOVES her blankets...any one will do...actually all of them will do.  If there is a blanket in sight, she wants it and she lets you know.  Communication is so difficult at this age...frustrating, she knows what she wants (or does she) but she just can't tell us:(  Ready for her to really start talking!

We just love her to death!  She is so beautiful to us (partial), beautiful eyes, lashes, hair...love love love her personality...I think she's going to be a little on the silly side or serious...idk...maybe both?  She's weary of strangers so she gets very serious around someone she doesn't know (a lot of staring), but around us, she's silly.  She's learned that she loves to play "peek a boo."  She will get behind us and we are suppose to say "where's Addie!?" then she comes around to the front of so we can see her and laughs and laughs as we say "there she is!!"  She loves going outside and adores her big brother!  She is definitely Colt's biggest fan...although he could care less.

Happy 15 months sweet girl!

Addie's First Boo Boo

Girl made it a long time before she had her first real fall.  She was playing in the wagon (not going I might add) and toppled on out straight on her face.  One week before Christmas.  It was a little sad, cried a bit but not too bad.

SO cute with her fresh cut:)

FBC CDC Christmas Program

The FBC daycare had a little Christmas program for parents. Colt and his class along with the other K3 class sang three songs - "jingle bells, Lord I lift your name on high and we wish you a Merry Christmas" I was pretty sure Colt was going to get up there and hide his face in his hands. Boy was I wrong!  When he first came out he was talking. No telling what he was saying but I could tell he was looking for me. It took him a while to find me but his whole face brightened up when he spotted me:). First song...he was singing his heart out it was so cute!! And he did sooooo good!  Here are some pics of the program.

His best friend Preston, who was also sporting a red vest.

These kids loved getting on stage to get their pictures made...Jalen, Colt, Preston and Gracie.

With his "girlfriend" Mia.

Christmas Projects

I usually do something with the ole' cricut every year for Christmas.  This year, I made Colt's classmates little books I found at Michaels and cut out trees and names on each one.  I thought they were pretty cute. (please excuse the dirty dishes).

Well, my mom came to visit for my birthday and she was feeling a little frisky to do something (apparently I didn't have many Christmas decorations).  We went to Inside Accents to get her something she wanted and wound up getting some things for a new wreath for our door.  This year, I didn't get many Christmas decoration down mainly because I didn't feel like it and because Addie is at the age when she is into everything...I didn't even do ornaments....haha.  But mom did talk me into this and I'm glad she did.  She did most of it, but it turned out really good!

This is something that my mom made with her embroidery machine...they have little tea light in them so they shine too:)  They were a lot of work and turned out SO great! Love love love them!  They are great for teaching the kids the story of Jesus.

I got these plates at Walmart, hopefully these will last year after year:)
