Junior League Adventure Challenge in Auburn

Colt and Troy tackled this one together.  It was pretty cute, just a little obstacle course they had to go through.  Maybe lasted about 5 minutes...haha.  They had fun though and it was a great turnout.

 This chick always has fun...

FINALLY - potty time!

Addie is now 2 1/2 and before today, she has NEVER gone potty...ever...not even a drop.  Well, I heard last week, that she "went potty" at school, but she decided she tee-tee'd standing up (like a boy...Colt) so needless to say...it got ALL over her.  So, that doesn't count...because she's not a boy:)  Anywho, I decided to give it a try on a Saturday, nothing else to do.  Brought the potty in the living room and told her there was going to be a surprise if she went potty.  First thing she "went" all over herself and the stool below while eating breakfast.  Yeah!  Ha!  I didn't give up there.  Now she got to see that it goes all over you if you don't go on the potty.  She continued to eat breakfast after I cleaned her up.

Then, she decided she was going to try again.

She sat for a while (her personal seat while watching TV).  Since she already went while eating breakfast, she had nothing left in the tank.  But she was still cute doing this, right?

After lunch, I asked her if she needed to go and she sat for a while and popped up and got real excited, yelling "I did it!!!"  I looked and there was about 2 dropplets in there!!!  Yay, we celebrated of course.  Then she sat back down and said "I need go again"  Now, after that she really went!!!  Finally!!  She ended up going 3 times.  Pretty good, but I've been on her.  So, we are officially in potty training mode!  Whoop whoop!!

Micro Soccer

Colt got lucky with his birthday...he's almost 5 but still too young to move up to the 5-6 year old soccer team, so he's playing with the 3-4 years olds.  This season was so much fun watching Colt dominate the field.  He's definitely more aggressive when he sees that he's bigger than the other kids.  We did have trouble in the last couple of games when he was up against another kid that was just as good.  Just gotta learn that it's not always going to be easy.  Those games were tough because he can be so sensitive and he MAY have stood in the middle of the field crying...like I said hard to watch.

Sick of being sick:(

The end of February was tough in the Parrish household!  Both kids came down with something, but I waited it out and they eventually got better.  Then Addie got sick again.  This time I didn't want to wait to see if it went away so I took her in.  She had RSV:(  The doc sent her home with a breathing treatment and steriod meds.  She was not a happy camper.  Very sensitive, sleepy, and just plain ill.  We had a lot of mommy/daughter time.  I missed a good bit of work since Nana was in Texas.  She finally came back and relieved me some, but Addie boo was out an entire week.  She finally started feeling better and was a totally different kid!

We did a lot of this:

 So sad:(
You can see it in her eyes she didn't feel good:(  She took the breathing treatments like a champ and they take several minutes.  Proud of her!
Then, she was have silly moments...hahah
I told her to make silly faces

Sweet little girl...glad she's back to 100%!
