100th Post!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my readers, family, friends and most of all my little inspiration...Colt. I looked back at my very first post which read and I quote "I'm not sure how well I'll be able to keep up and post updates regularly, but I sure will try!" Well, I think this has been a success. So, today......I make my 100th post!

I have to say, lately I've been working a lot (tax season) and can't do as much as I would like, but I'm not going to let Colt's big or little milestones go unnoticed:) I don't have anything much to add, but I do want to post a few 9 month pictures I took. I really was going to get someone to take his pictures this time, but with my schedule and the cold weather, it hasn't worked out. I think I did ok, except his hair was a little wild:(

It snowed in Dothan too!!

Snow day!!! It's so funny how everything shuts down for a little snow in Dothan...well, except if you're in the middle of tax season. We did get to enjoy it a little...

This probably wasn't the best idea....

9 months

Colt turned 9 months today. What a fun age:) He went to the doctor this morning and weighed in at 22lbs and 10 oz and 29 inches long. He is between the 75th and 90th percentile for both.

What he's doing now:
Clothes - these 9 month clothes are just about ready to be put in storage (or sent to his cousin Troy), 12 month are much more comfy:)

Diapers - still in size 3, but I would say 4 out of 7 mornings these 3's have leaked, so I'm considering getting 4's just for nighttime wear
Eating - who knows! all the time? I don't see what he eats during the day during the week, but in the mornings I have been giving him an 8 oz bottle (which he usually finishes). I get home too late to give him dinner (too sleepy), so I usually give him a 7 oz bedtime bottle....what's in between?...beats me.
Development: Is really moving around now! He's gotten to be a little speed daemon on his hands and knees. I think he likes that he can do this because he will crawl a little bit in one direction, then sit up, crawl in the other direction, sit up, crawl in the other direction, sit up over and over...laughing while he does it. He loves to chase Gizzy and Daisy around and laugh at them, though they don't think it's all that funny. If only they would be still for him:) Pulling up on everything, opening everything. Starting to walk with someone holding his hands (previous post). All he says is "da-da", uh, or gibber, nothing close to mama...though I probably don't try hard enough. We are working on saying and doing "bye-bye." He loves seeing other say and do "bye-bye" but never mimics the motion...one day he will.
Appearance: Changes are two new teeth...so now he has 6 teeth, 2 on top and 4 on the bottom. All his friends got 4 on top first with the two bottom and per D's dad, who is a dentist, this is nothing to worry about. Oh and he's still fat:)
See two new teeth!
Brushing his teeth:)
This is what we find after nap time:)

He still a little lover and his thought process is if you aren't holding me, then you need to (he will go to anyone!)...We have had a problem with biting! Love bites as I would say:) We're going to work on this b/c it really hurts. He's already bitten his friend Canon (twice) and his MMO teacher. Canon got him back on the arm the other day, not sure if the teacher has gotten him back yet or not??

Now since he has discovered he can get around, he has also discovered dirt in flower pots (likes to eat it), dog food (likes to eat it), and is very interested in what's in his bathroom cabinets. The other day, I left him in the living room playing with one of his favorite toys, thinking he's good for a couple of minutes. I go change in our room, come back (literally two minutes later)...no sign of Colt. I've been closing all the doors just for this reason...so I looked around all doors were closed, but I heard some banging around...but no sign of him. I decided to open Colt's door and when I did, I found him in his bathroom going through the cabinets. He had crawled in his room, shut the door, then went to his bathroom to see what he could find. Later that day, I was telling Josh about it, he stopped me before I got finished and he said "he was in his bathroom wasn't he?" Apparently Colt pulled the same thing on Josh earlier that day...mmmmmmm.

Uh oh!!

I tend to wonder what is to come since this little one is super excited that he figured out how to put one foot in front of the other...I think we're really going to be in for it!

Any body like Sushi??

Me and my friends have made sushi before in the past, and the biggest challenge is the rice! My friend Alisha told me about this sushi kit at walmart you can get that has the microwavable rice (that just takes a minute) and seaweed sheets (not sure what it's actually called) and you buy the 'fillings.' So, last weekend when my mom came down for the day we gave it a try. We got crab meat, avacado, carrots, cucumber and lemon (we're big lemon fans) and this sushi was absolutely wonderful!! I was so impressed and so was my mom:) We also got edamame to go with it, but the sushi itself was enough.

Here is the sushi kit:

If you like sushi, you gotta try this!! Delicious!

I can clap...

Colt learned out to clap this past weekend...here's a glimpse of his new little trick (it's short so don't get your hopes up, this is just what I caught in camera):
