First Halloween

Man, what a big day! First of all, the day started out great, Colt finally slept until his old "normal time" and woke up at 6:40...yay...then ate and played with me for an hour then was down for a nap until 9:45. That was the easy part...now on to the fun stuff...

All the moms decided that it would be a great idea to get all the babies together in their Halloween costumes at D's house and have a photo op. We couldn't think of a better way for all the babies to share their first Halloween with their best friends. Attending were...now, get ready for this...Luke (10 mo's), Canon (71/2 mo's), Ava (61/2 mo's), Colt (51/2 mo's), Jack (3 mo's) and Julia (2 mo's)....can you imagine? I, silly me, pictured all the babies....Luke standing, Canon, Colt & Ava sitting, Jack & Julia laying and all smiling...yes, all smiling at once. Four words for everyone...WHAT WAS I THINKING? I do have to say, it was so much fun having them all together and trying to 'make this happen.' All the mom's besides me and mostly Mandy were taking pictures like crazy...Mandy was tending to Luke...who wasn't cooperating with his monkey cap and I was on the ground making crazy noises to get their attention holding a mirror so at least one baby would get fixated on themselves. Here are some pictures I got until I decided that I would rather make a fool out of myself and get the babies attention.

This was just too funny to pass up....

After the photo op, D has this machine called a Cricket that cuts out letters, designs, objects, etc from card stock. It can do all sorts of things depending on the software you buy. D had bought several frames for everyone so we could turn the frames into a Halloween theme and use the pics we took. This took a lot of creativity, but after some brainstorming we dove right in. Every one's frame looked so good after...oh...lets see...4 hours!! Luckily all the daddy's were in charge of the babies...so we could concentrate on our very important project.

Brainstorming:

Finished product: (ours is on the bottom right)

We were all worn out by this point (well, I was anyway) and it was only 4 o'clock. We hung out at D's for the rest of the night. Josh and Ed headed up to the Troy game...it was a little too much for them:). We had a great time and a great first Halloween. Here are a couple more pics I got:

Only adults to dress up...

Colt crashed as soon as we got home:(
